If i'm allergic to hairdye, will i be allergic if i get a tattoo?

i once dyed my hair black and was really allergic and ended up in the hospital with a swollen head. ive had highlights that i was not allergic to though. will i die if i get a tattoo?

Have the tattoo artist do what they call a “snake bite” which is simply two small dots of ink to see if you’ve a reaction. If you do it won't be in a very big area and it is unlikely that there would be enough to cause serious problems if you do. Another option would be to go to a dermatologist and have an allergy panel done.
