hey all, i used to have alot of under eye darkness, but then i got a cold and used a bunch of degongestants and blew my nose 20 times a day, and now my under eye darkness is completely gone!

So my question is, is sinus congestion a cause of under eye darkness?

Answer:
SURE IT CAN CONTRIBUTE

Answer:
no the dark circle under your eyes are caused by blood pooling there, all of the nose blowing activity you described probably got the blood circulating again, but I think it would be just as easy to do so cardio to keep the blood moving

Answer:
Sinus congestion certainly can be a sign of under eye darkness. I went to an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist about this very subject. He told me that there is a definite correlation between the two. The doctor also told me that one's heredity plays a great role. If your nationality is somewhere around the Meditteranean Sea, you are much more likely to have this condition than you are not. Since I am part Italian, this seemed to fit the bill.
