Anytime I listen to music through headphones (either the ones that go into your ears or the regular ones) my ear holes get real itchy and I’ve thick brown discharge coming out of them.

All my life I've had ear infections (at least 1 ear infection each 6 months). The last bad ear infection I had was in 2005 where I went almost deaf for about a week after my nephew died. After that was when the thick discharge started, but I haven't had an ear infection since.

Why does this happen to me? I don't even blast music through my headphones either. It's always at a moderate sound level.

Answer:
well what i think is… when u listen to music loud, right over ur ears, there is little hairs that surround ur ear drum, and when they hear noise they vibrate, which could be moving the ear wax thats in ur ears out. i really think thats what it is.

Answer:
well its probably an ear infection of some sort =( sorry, but u should ask your physician why this is happening
maybe its how LONG your listening to ur music, i would sometimes get a tiny wax coming out when i listen to it for a tiny over an hour (over-ear headphones)

Answer:
that's gross -avoid the ear plugs. jump in a warm shower & let the water rinse out your ears. blow dry on a low setting. follow up with your doctor.
