My Mom gets cold sores after eating shell fish, but that doesn't stop her, she loves lobster and crab.
Some people get hives, at least on any part that got the juice on them like fingers, hands, and such. Thank gawd I didn't inherit that from my Mom cuz I Loves Crabs and Lobster, and Shrimp, and mussels and Oh I just like seafood.

Hands and feet itch and swell up, tongue and throat can swell up ( at this point you should get to emergency room for shot ). The dangerous side of fish and seafood allergy is when your throat swells….it can restrict breathing…in extremes cause death.

How can I determine if I’ve had anaphylaxis?
Anaphylaxis is highly likely to occur when any ONE of the following happens within minutes to hours after ingestion of the food allergen:

2. A person was exposed to a suspected allergen, and two or more of the following occur:
Skin symptoms or swollen lips

3. A person was exposed to a known allergen, and experiences:
reduced blood pressure

It depends on how severe the allergy. The allergy symptoms for shellfish wouldn't be any different from an allergy to something else.
You may get a few hives. Or you can get throat tightness, tongue swelling, couging, wheezing, etc. In the second case it would be a medical emergency.
