What’s gluten? I’ve had some major health issues with no answers from dr.s and on today show showed something i overheard and nearly all my sypmtoms were among the ones desciribed. How do you get tested and what is gluten?
Answer:
Celiac sprue. It requires specialized testing, usually by a GI doctor to determine if this is the disease you’re suffering from. I didn't look it up but I think your regular physician can order a test called an anti-endomysial antibody test to rule this out.
Answer:
Gluten is a kind of protein found in grain products. It's what gives bread dough its elasticity. However, in some people gluten triggers their autoimmune system and they get what is basically a severe gluten allergy. The condition is known as celiac disease and it can literally be life-threatening. People with celiac disease have to be careful and avoid products with gluten for the rest of their lives.
Answer:
celiac is what the disease is called
