Im doing a report on Ovarian Cancer and I was trying to find like the actual diagnosis paper. Like when you find out what would they give you if you wanted to go to another doctor or anything like that.

Hope that makes sense

Answer:
A transvaginal ultrasound, computed tomography scan or a magnetic resonance imaging will grant the physician to visualize the ovaries to see if a tumor is present. The final step is a biopsy, which removes a sample of ovarian tissue by laparoscopy and examines it under the microscope. Biopsy is the only way to diagnose ovarian cancer with certainty, but cancer cells may be detected in fluid obtained from the abdomen in women with ascites.

All these tests are performed by specialists in their field, on request/referral by treating Dr. They all provide reports back to the treating Dr. Duplicates of these reports are usually given to the patient.

If a patient wished to seek a second view, they would take their test results with them. If the treating Dr was wanting to refer the patient to an oncologist, they would send a referral consisting of a letter summarising the case and copies of these reports.

Is that what you were wanting?

Answer:
Lucky you asked this question. Because my grandma has that type right now. What they did with her is a scobnosis. I hope i spelled that right. It's where they would check the ovaries to see how much of it is there or something. Anyway, hope that helps.
