My mother had breast cancer and had her last radiation session in February and her breast still feels much warmer than the one that was not treated. Is that normal?
Answer:
It is probably inflammation from the radiation treatment and will take some time to go away. If her immune system is working against the cancer, even superior! She should let her oncologist know in case there's something wrong. For example, it could be a sign of infection. But otherwise I understand this is not unusual and will go away eventually once all the swelling, etc. goes away.
Answer:
I noticed the same thing too and still notice it occassionally. It was 3 years in February that I finished radiation.
