I keep having these dreams where I’ve cancer, this could be because my mom has it, or because it is true. I’m sick a lot, and have never been checked. Should I check, just in case, or am I overly dramatic???

Answer:
You’re not being overly dramatic. Dreams are sometimes an outlet for our stresses and fears. You need to be getting a through physical work up by your doctor. Your mother having cancer has put a lot of stress on you.
Honey you need to see your physician and find out what’s ailing you. It's not uncommon for caregiver to have health problems from stress. Unfortunately the biggest mistake caregivers make is to neglect their own health until something major happens.
DO NOT make that mistake.
I was caregiver to both my parents, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer a month after my dad passed on.

Answer:
My dad died of cancer when I was 15, and for years afterward I kept dreaming that I had cancer, and even when I was awake I still was sure I would get it, if I didn't have it already.
This kind of thing can stress you out, which in turn makes you fatigued and then sick. I'm 22 now and only now am I starting to not think I’ve cancer all the time. I doubt you have cancer, it's quite rare still and particularly in people under 50, but if you’re feeling unwell all the time don't hesitate to go and get yourself checked out. I did the same thing so don't be embarrassed, the doctors were very nice about it for me.
Good luck, and I'm sorry you have to go through this, I know it isn't simple. I really hope your mum is ok.

Answer:
If you're sick a lot, you should get a physical anyway. Why do you put if off? Dreams, I’m told, are always the opposite of what you saw in the dream. I think you're right. Your mother has cancer and you fear the same thing will happen to you because of genetics and heredity, I think that's only normal. But the being sick a lot, you need a physical just to find out why you are always sick. Don't put if off for fear that you might have cancer. that's a large mistake people make. They don't want to hear they might have cancer then when they do find out if they cancer, it's too late because they waited. So play it safe. Call your Dr. Then you’ll have peace of mind at least. God bless
ADD I should add that my father died of stomach cancer and my brother died of brain and spinal cancer. When my dad died, I had dreams of him telling me to be careful. I didn't know what it meant and didn't think much of it. Well, last Nov of 08 I had a bi-lateral mastectomy. But I know it's not because of dad and my brother because there were too many years between their deaths and my cancer.

Answer:
I’m so sorry to hear that your Mom has cancer. That is very likely the reason you are having these dreams - it's on your mind. To ease your mind, you could see your physician.
