A year and a half ago mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, the tumor was 11 centimeters. After chemo a PET scan showed she was cancer free and she has remained cancer free for 14 months. But the physician stated the tumor is still there, slightly less than 1/4 of it's original size. How can you be cancer free if it's still there? Does this mean it's going to start growing again?

Answer:
the tumor is still there but it isn’t active and it is not harming her..actually its going away because the tumor is shrinking
good luck:)

Answer:
It means it isn’t growing now, and appears to be benign (not-cancerous)
