I have a problem. I always get round red sores that turn white in the middle, I've been to the physician who stated he didn't know what it was. They bleed and turn massive and injured, sometimes they leave a scar. It's been going on for over 4 years, I never bothered going to a dermatologist as my old doc. (the one who doesn't know) stated they would just blame me for having them. They still come and hurt like hell, one person said it may be Cancer. When I asked my old doc. that he stated “your too young for cancer” my mom had cancer earlier in her life then my age now. On top of this I'm always fatigued, my hair is very straw like and dead looking, and I've lost my appetite. I have bipolar, so that's what I'm working on with my new Doc. but do you think my friends right?

Answer:
Not cancer. Sounds auto immune or more likely.. it is a nutritional deficiency. Which probably causes your 'bipolar' as well. It is finally being recognized that true bipolar is very very rare and that something as easy as a lack of omega 3 in the diet can cause the symptoms. My recommendation is to make radical changes to your diet, and start immediately taking fish oil caps (Fisol brand is enteric if fish oil makes you burp too much). I doubt very seriously there is a thing mentally wrong with you. Begin eating whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies, fish oil, etc. and I bet all of this will turn around.

Hi,

Anything that the old physician told you was poor advice. So disregard all of it.

Go to a dermatologist, and ask them to check it out for you. Ask them to culture the sample of the bacteria in the skin condition, and that’ll lead them to a anti-biotic or anti-bacteria cream or solution to your problem.

Or else clean with hydrogen peroxide solution, this will kill the bacteria on contact if this is the root cause to your problem.

Good Luck!

Even gangrene can be killed if you soak it in 2.5 PH acidic water!

I think you should definitely go to a different physician and get a second view. It may night be cancer but it is something that you need to have diagnosed. Either go to another general practitioner, which would be cheaper, or just try to go to a dermatologist who would probably know better. Good luck!

Answer:
You always have the right to get a second opinion. I would go see the Dermatologist. They might biopsy it. You need to see the dermatologist and always get a second view. It helps! Wishing you the ideal of luck!

Answer:
I do not think it is cancer. but im not a dermatolgist and that’s would you REALLY should be speaking to.. Google it.
It could be a virus..Such as shingles or foster, i think its called? it could be a bacterial infection.

Answer:
GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST.

Answer:
Whoever said your first doctor was a moron was 100% dead on the money. Too young for cancer? Yeah, right. Get yourself to a different primary care doctor and get him/her to refer you to a dermatologist. There’s no reason whatsoever for you to be putting up with this infection.

P.S. I’ve an infection associated with my treatment for cancer that has been on-going for 5 years now and my physician states I will have it as long as my treatment continues. Infections, un-treated, DO last a long, long time! Mine can't be treated because it is a side effect of the catheter I’ve inserted.

Answer:
That sounds care about it may be a boil. Basically a boil is a type of staph infection and is somewhat like a massive pimple or zit. Google “boil” for more information and read like the wiki article on them. You should ask your doc if thats what it is, and have it cultured to make sure its not a type of mrsa.

You can treat boils at home with black salve or draw out salve. Neosporin can be helpful. The correct medical advice is to NOT squeeze it because it could cause the infection to get into the blood, but just like regular pimples, most people do. If it gets bad or huge, you should go to the doctor who can lance it. Basically they will cut the sore open and squeeze the ick out of it, but they have the ability to use antibacterial cleaners and steril utensils to do it, minumizing the infection risks.

Answer:
I would never believe just one doctor and always question everything they state if you feel differently or not well. They do have a degree, but the human body is very complex and it's hard to diagnose everything. You should get a second thought because doctors are human too and might misdiagnose or over look things sometimes.

It could be something in your diet that you might need to change. Or have you been on a certain medication for 4 years that it may be causing a side effect? If you’ve a family history of cancer, I would definitely have tests done just to be sure. I'm not sure why anyone would blame you for having sores if you're hygienic. I hope that you get answers and feel superior!

Answer:
it might be staph infection ask to have the sores tested for it. antibiotics takes care of it swiftly. sounds like ur doc is a fool. i dont know i would state well can u figure it out. damn! dermotologist is a great idea although ur physician should still have ideas about what’s going on or atleast try to figure it out or send u to a derm. wow. i cant believe he would just simply state i don;t know and then state tat derm. will say its ur fault. crazy crazy u def need a new doc. also if it is staph…and they give you antibiotics that work only temoporary and then the sores come back….ask for docycyclone. it will probably work superior but will upset your stomach so tak with food

oh yea and ur never too young for cancer. it happens to many young and old, across the spectrum

Answer:
The doctor that said you are too young for cancer is a moron. Your old doctor sounds like a person i would not want to have as my doctor (sorry if i offend you).Go to a dermatologist(skin doctor) immediately and find out what it is, it very well might be serious… or maybe its a deficiency of something in your diet maybe… Be sure to mention your mother's medical history with cancer. And the dermatologist won’t blame you for having them that makes no sense at all to me…

EDIT: Picking them does only make things worse (same with acne) but that would not make a doctor not help you… that is ridiculous!

EDIT2:
SuperVibrationalEscrow has a point.. my friend has lupis and her father has an autoimmune disease as well(different but similar) i dont remember if she gets sores, but her dad gets them, they are small though… they look sort of like measles all over his legs cept they ooze out gunk, though for 4 years straight it… might not be… he usually gets them in the summer when its hot out and it can be trigged by a cold… but see a dermatologist first then try a … Immune System Doctor (not sure what they are called, maybe the dermatologist can refer you to one if s/he does not know)
