And if they do what is the price range? And are they on the shelfs? Or do i have to be there when the pharmacy is open? Thanks!

Answer:
Yes, WalMart sells strips for diabetic meters (In fact they sell meters, lancets, strips and glucose tabs) They are usually in the section in front of the pharmacy and in most stores you don't have to get them at the pharmacy counter as they are out in the open on a shelves.

As far as price range goes it usually depends on the meter you’ve. Usually they run between 15, 25 and up to 50 dollars depending on the strip. Now you can always get a prescription from your physician for the strips also and depending on your insurance they might be cheaper. If it is an emergency situation though yes, you can always get them right off the shelves.

Good Luck!

Answer:
Yes! Wal-mart does sell glucose testing strips, and it depends on your meter as to how costly the strips are. My first meter was a Reli-On Ultima, and the strips usually run about $10 for a box of 20, $22 for a box of 50, and around $55 for a box of 100. My new meter is a Precision X-tra, and the strips run about $58 for a box of 50. So it depends on the meter. Most insurance companies will cover the cost of your testing supplies, and the pharmacy doesn't have to be open in order to get them. You can find them near the pharmacy, usually in the diet and nutrition or some places even have an aisle labeled Diabetic Supplies. I have to pay out-of-pocket for all my supplies, so I'm very concientious of the prices!

Answer:
Yes, they do sell the strips but they are NOT on the shelves. Those strips are pricey and are by prescription only. If you are unable to pay for them, go to www.freedomed.com . They advertise low cost or free diabetic supplies for people who are low income or have no insurance.

Answer:
adding to all of the above. you have 3 months to use them once you OPEN the bottle. (at least that´s what it stated on the label of this specific brand of strips )

Answer:
They probably carry them. However, most pharmacies keep them behind the counter because of cost. Call your local Wal-Mart and ask them where they keep them.

Answer:
they do sell strips. they are on the shelves. i can’t remember how much they cost. the pharmacy does not have to be open. you are welcome.
