The surgery and the post surgery expenses. Cosider the patient to have type 1 diabetis

Answer:
In the US:

Kidney transplant costs are very high; however, patients on dialysis (usually end stage renal failure) are eligible for medicare which will pick up the bill.

So I wouldn't worry about the costs.

Patients with diabetes are not eliminated from the list of eligible kidney transplant recipients. If you have end stage renal failure then you can get a kidney transplant if one if matched; in the meantime you would be on dialysis.

For further info about enrolling in medicare with ESRF - http://www.medicare.gov/Basics/Kidneypat…

For further information on transplants: www.unos.gov - this is the organization that maintains the organ donation lists and has ton of info on their website.

And for the other posters — by the time you need dialysis or a transplant, there is no way to heal your kidneys - they are pretty much dead or so diseased that they can no longer function.

Answer:
Before anyone considers a kidney transplant, try helping your body repair your kidneys. Stem cell research is doing wonders in helping the body repair itself.

I know of a man who was able to get completely off dialysis using a product called StemEnhance.

StemEnhance makes no medical claims whatsoever, nor do I. The all-natural ingredients in each capsule do only one thing:softens the bone marrow to allow the release of roughly 25% to 30% more healthy stem cells in unbroken condition. The testimonials from people with all kinds of health challenges are pouring in, and there are some amazing results. You will find abundant information on this Independent Representive’s StemEnhance website.
