I am a newly diabetic

Author: admin

I planning to work out, immediately, since my doctor told me, that I am over weight, with high sugar, high cholestrol and high blood pressure. My question is should I work out EVERY SINGLE DAY for One or Two hours???

This is my working out schedule.

1 -2 hours walking at the park OR,

Mowing my big yard at home for about 30 minutes OR,

Washing my work truck, every single day 30 minutes or,

Workout on my stationary bicycle at home for about 1 hour.

Thanks guys!

Answer:
A brisk walk in the park is good Try an aerobics class or martial arts. I did Taekwondo and it helped me to loose about 20LBs. Cycling is good too.

And a vegetarian diet is more than a salad.

I suggest going to the library and getting a vegetarian cook book. The food is delicious and tasty. And looks like some of the foods the rich celebrities eat in hollywood.

I usually go with low to med., impact exersises. Weight lifting and hiking up hill. Swimming is also low impact and better than anything out there try going to the YMCA and signing up for water aerobics classes. It is only shoulder deep so if you cant swim it is excellent.

Answer:
Sounds like a good plan. If you loose enough weight, you maybe able to control your blood sugar with diet alone.

Answer:
Abe chill take it slow dont try and rush things or else you will clash….and fall back on the wagon.

Maybe you could start with half an hour walks, try 15 min. to a target and 15 back…in the morning and if possible in the afternoon Tues-Thurs. …take it slow.

As for your diet also start out slow…cut down on your food intake try and buy fruits you like to replace junk food, if you don't like salads your just going to get bored and rebound…try eating small portions of salads with fruit with your meal this will help get you started

don't try and over due yourself to soon take it slow and you'll have more energy to pick up the past to more hours and daily..and eating better…

Good luck you…

Answer:
Not every single day. Maybe 6 days a week, or 13 days a fortnight.

I would try doing different kinds of exercise. Try swimming as it is one of the best things for weight loss.

Answer:
You should read how I managed. I've been battling pretty much the same thing for nearly five years. Now, I eat all the healthy food I want, manage my blood sugar with no medication, I'm at my ideal weight, and I don't miss the crappy stuff one bit. I would rather feel good than just please a few taste buds. Besides, my salads are to die for. I don't overdo the exercise, either. I just walk… about 5 to 8 miles a day. It's a great stress reliever too. I've compiled lots of helpful tips here:

Hi, i'm diabetic as well, and i know for a fact the amazing results you can get by exercising. Yes you should exercise everyday, one hour a day is what i try to do, but exercise has to be something where you are working out getting you heart rate up and working muscles that you wouldn't normally. To begin with be careful, don't hurt yourself and as you loose weight you see you body will adjust to the new foods and will actually crave healthy foods. if you are serious about exercising and I can't tell you how immesurable the benefits are than you also need to get in touch with a nutritionist or better yet a dietician who can also give you an exercise program that would work best for you.

Goodluck

Answer:
Don't go killing yourself here all at once. Just start walking. Walk for at least 30 minutes every day. When you are done walking, do some exercises for maybe 20 minutes. But don't start it all at once. Walking is really good for you and helps burn calories and tones the whole body and helps keep your sugar levels down

Answer:
ask your doctor what plan would be best for you. what works for one person doesn't always work for someone else. Sometimes you can control your diabetes by diet alone but I would still speak to my health care provider and see what they suggest. Good luck on the weight control.

Answer:
Do these breathing exercises and you will lose weight and control diabetes and cholestrol and BP at the same time.Drink warm water.

These pranayam exercises will help control the diabetes and the side effects.Build up the timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume later. The benefits will be noticed in weeks as the sugar level is checked daily.Over the long tern the diabetes will be in full control and the medicine can be reduced in consultation with the doctor.

Anulom Vilom –

This is one cycle of anulom vilom.

Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day(maximum 60 minutes in one day).

You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day.(Max 60 min/day)

Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Also everyday press the centre point of the palm of your hand 40 times with the thumb and press the tips of all fingers 40 times each.
