If you don't have diabetes she wouldn’t be granted to check your blood sugar. So it's a moot point. If you do have diabetes, yeah she has the ability to tell your parents, that's kind of the point.

The operative word here is “can” and the answer is sure. In fact, if your parents were to ask, the nurse would be required to. You could ask the nurse if she would keep it confidential before the test. If she states she can't then you make your decision.

If your reading is normal she’ll probably not, but if it is high she would be required to alert them to a serious health issue.
