diabetes. I dont have the symptoms, but it runs in the family. So i worry a lot about it. I am somewhat over weight. Any answers would be appreciated.
Answer:
Depends on what you had for supper. I was at work a while back and had been eating miniature snickers and drinking pepsi, quite a lot of the little snickers too and seriously like 1/2 a 2 liter bottle of pepsi in about a 4 hour period, the charge nurse was doing blood sugars and I was like hey check mine after all this sugar and it was 87.
Found this online
A "random" blood glucose test taken at any time. A normal blood glucose range is in the low to mid 100s. A diagnosis of diabetes is made if your blood glucose reading is 200 mg/dl or higher and you have symptoms of disease such as fatigue, excessive urination, excessive thirst or unplanned weight loss.
Answer:
Yeah, that's in the normal range.
Answer:
yes thats normal. anything around 120 or so.. maybe a little lower. ut fine. no worries
Answer:
115 is very normal. my boyfriend of 3 years has diabetes so i know a lot about it. about 90/100 - 190/200 is normal.
Answer:
In the morning you should be between 80 and 110 after 8 hours of nothing to eat or drink. 115 isnt bad after a meal if it is the blood sugar reading taken two hours after the meal. It takes that long for your body to use the food you consume. If you get 115 two hours after a meal then you are in great shape.
Answer:
You should measure 2 hours after eating and your blood sugar should be under 140, so yes your number is perfect. If you measure in the morning before eating it should be under 90.
Answer:
115 is ok. Before i found out my problem mine was running around 350.
Answer:
If that reading is 2 hours after the START of a meal, you are in good shape. I am insulin dependent and my doctors are happy if I am under 180 after a meal. If I am 180 after 2 hours, I am usually around 140 after 3 hours. For my situation, that is acceptable.
Answer:
It's great that you're conscious about it since it runs in your family, not enough people take it seriously and have irreversible complications later. Normal glucose levels are between 70-140. 115 after dinner is really good, no need to worry at this point.
Answer:
i wish for a 115 after dinner, but that's been few and far between since i was about 6 years old.
80-120 is normal anytime.
if you're worried, choke down a fresh green salad or take a walk every day.
Answer:
115 is in the good range, anything over 130 is not good. DId you check your sugars before you ate dinner. You have to check BS before you eat so you know how much to eat and what to eat. Have you checked your urine is it smelly and very dark colored. Do you get listless at times and feel really lousy and sweat. Thats low BS.
Answer:
Anything from 70-140 is within a normal range.
Answer:
Normal blood sugar ranges around 90-110. If your blood sugar level is 115 after eating dinner, that is good. To get a more accurate level, check one hour before eating, then two hours after eating.
