How did you know you had diabetes? Without being tested, what were your symptoms?
Thanks for your help.
Answer:
Well I don't got it my daughter does. We thought she had a stomach flu. Didn't notice her losing weight because we just thought she was skinny anyways still is. The kids are always hungry and ate and always still eat all the time. Theres 5 of them. But after she was laying on the bathroom floor we took her in, then after a while they found out she was diabetic. Sent her to the ICU and started teaching us all kinds of things. This was 2 yrs ago.

My mother died of Type 2 complications, so I was alert for symptoms. In my case, excessive thirst was the clue that sent me to the doctor for a blood test.

Answer:
Well, the book answers are really accurate. A lot of people asked me "excessive drinking? excessive peeing? what's excessive?" Believe me, it's so over the top, you just know. I could have a full glass of water, I'd set down an empty cup, and it was like I hadn't had a single drop. A lot of people cite increased appetite as a symptom. I dont understand that. I'm never hungry when hyperglycemic. Especially when I was first diagnosed. You couldn't have force-fed me. No appetite at all. All I could do was drink drink drink.
