Answer:
70 is a little bit low. Next time you eat wait a 1/2 hr and then take it. It should be around 100.

Answer:
Well, first and most importantly, have you been DIAGNOSED with diabetes? A person is not “automatically” considered to have diabetes by virtue of extreme thirst. The “normal” blood sugar readings used to be 80-120 by the medical community. In current years, it has been changed to between 70-110. Your 70 reading, assuming that you tested correctly, was low — not high — especially after having consumed a high carb meal.

If you have risk factors for diabetes, or if you’ve close relatives with diabetes, you need to get tested and checked by a doctor. Ask for an “A1c” which will reveal your average blood sugar for the past 2 or 3 months. Sporadic finger sticks at home are often inaccurate and misleading. Low blood sugar, which is called “hypoglycemia,” can sometimes be a precurser to diabetes. Please get checked if you suspect that you’ve blood sugar issues. Take good care . . .

Answer:
The normal is 80 - 120. Yours was just a little bit below normal, nothing to really worry about at the moment. So did you get a blood sugar monitor because you thought you had bad blood sugar and just wanted to check it? Or that you might have had diabetes?

Hypoglycemia - low blood sugar.

Hyperglycemia - high blood sugar.

Type 1 diabetes - is usually seen in kids and teens, but can also be found in adults. It means you’re insulin dependent. aka: juvenile diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes - is found in both children and adults, usually due to poor diet and obesity. It can be hereditary.

With diabetes you’ve to change your diet and take insulin by shots or an insulin pump if needed. Take your medicine and excercise, check your blood sugar at least 4 times a day and you’ll live a normal life, you just have to be more responsible. I’m a hypoglycemic, my normal levels all the time is 40-60, i don`t see above 80 very often. I also have a long line of family members with diabetes and hypoglycemics that turned into diabetics. If my blood sugar goes below 40 i usually faint and sometimes have to receive a glucagon shot when it gets dangerously low to prevent me from having a seizure or going into a coma. If you have any signs of diabetes and you are worried about it, go to the physician and have blood work done to find out. I’ve been tested for it when i was a tiny kid. I test my blood sugar 4 times a day and i can usually feel when its low.

Me and my friend are both severe hypoglycemics and we have the same blood glucose monitoring system its the one touch ultra mini in the color pink! =) we are both 15. good luck.

Answer:
70mg/dl is a good number on the low end of the scale but it really depends on the time difference between the time you ate and the time you tested.

If your concerned about being diabetic you should have saved your money for a fasting blood sugar test for a proper diagnosis. Meters are nothing more than guides for diabetics to help them manage and control our blood sugars better/

Your 24/7 thirst issue could be caused by any number of other conditions……Perhaps it's time for a complete work up?

Good luck

Answer:
70 can be a bit low but shouldn't be a problem. Keep track of what your sugars are doing at various times a day for a while–fasting (before eating); 2 hours after a meal; before and after exercise and at bedtime. See how they’re running and if they're to high or to low go see a doctor.

Diabetes and hypoglycemia (Low blood sugars) are not fun to deal with.

This is experience speaking here. LOL

Answer:
thats actuallly ok. but not really that means u have low blood sugar. (but not that bad) and u need to eat nutrious things. and eat good healthy meals. I know this because I’ve hypoglycemia.

Answer:
70 is kinda good. But if you’re worried about it then go to the doctor and take a test.
