As a Type II Diabetic - I’ve to stay on a low-carb regimen, exceeding no more than 15 carbs per snack. I get hungry very often and find the need to munch - but appetite is very selective…..salads don't fill, neither do raw veggies….fruit is a problem because they’ve a lot of natural sugars, so i have to limit the portion.

Is there a good snack (low-carb), that’s not fattening - that has worked for you?

Answer:
Unfortunately I don't know about diabetes but I’ve practiced low carb for quite a while. Here are some of the things I use to keep healthy and low carb:

1) Turkey Breast from the Deli (Sometimes wrapped in a low carb / high fiber tortilla)

2) Sugar free jello! Completely free food

3) Nuts (unsalted, bulk)

Hope these help. I use a ton of fruits and veggies in my diet… but you discussed these already.

Answer:
Sugar-free pudding and sugar-free soda can be just as tasty as their sugar-sweetened counterparts.

Stick with pretzels over chips to decrease fat intake. If you’ve chips, select baked over fried.

Answer:
the best thing you can use is peanut butter and jelly and you can use welch or something tastey. it will cure the sugar part and it is good for you and you will no longer crave as much sweets as you may think and it helps. it is good for you also no matter cause the jellys with out sugar as they say aren't as good and in fac tthey sometimes have more sugar then regular ones. with bread.

Answer:
I like lightly or unsalted nuts; cashew, almonds or pistachios. Around 10:00am I eat about 1/4 cup, seems to work. Jerky works once in while, some are too salty. I also find yogurt, plain, works is a nice change.
