Okay, so my boyfriend has the herpes simplex virus 1
it's been several years since he's had a cold sore, and he hasn't even felt a sign of getting one until today…
i tend to be very cautious when kissing him…
ask if he's feeling anything
and check to see if i see anything
well obviously, this isn't enough, but its the best i am able to do
well
by the end of the night tonight, i looked on his lip and saw a little white dot
i was like ” hey…uhm wipe your mouth ”
so he did..and it didnt come off
and he said ” maybe its a pimple “
well
he went home and couldn't pop the pimple
and he said it was somewhat burning now…but not much
he thinks its a coldsore
am i able to catch HSV 1 from him right now?
I think i am able to-but I just want to know for sure
is there any way i can…go ahead and treat it to where it doesnt really do anything?
ive never had a cold sore before- im scared
its only a cold sore-but still
i caught something i didnt have before, all through harmless kissing
:[
help
oh, and how do i know if its a cold sore or not?
details on the thing again : it was a little white dot…i think it wassomehwat elevated dot…like a pimple
but white
like the crayon white

im not a herpes expert but i would say this… herpes is for life. is your boyfriend going to be for life? i dont mean to sound mean or offensive but if youre asking the question in the first place then you probably dont want this std. umm, if he cares about you then he should comprehend u if you tell him you want to hold off kissing until it goes away. does he take that stuff on tv to suppress outbreaks? i would think he would want to. And also, you dont want to get it and then you and him break up one day and when u find another guy he'll be treating u like a leper. lol that sounded worse than i meant it to but you see what im saying dont u? i dont know, thats just definitley something i wouldnt want to catch unless we were already married or something. who did he catch it from?

That dot could indeed turn into a blister, and then a full-blown cold sore. Have him take some of the “vitamin” L-lysine right away. The pills are in the health food aisle of the grocery store. Then, go to the chapstick aisle and buy some Abreva and use it every half hour or so. It may stop the cold sore from getting worse.
No more kissing for a while.
Forget oral sex with this guy. I know several people who ended up with genital herpes that way.
