Has anyone had reoccurring celulitis of the ear……?

My left ear is swollen almost twice the size of the right ear. I went to my ear nose and throat doctor this morning and was given antibiotics. I’ve been dealing with this infection off and on now for the past 18 months. It keeps coming back every 4 months or so. Why is this happening? The physician isn't sure and never has a clear diagnosis on my problem. Has anyone had this problem and what does your doctor state? Should I get a second view and is this ever going to go away?

OMG! Someone else has this?!? LOL I’ve had it twice in the last year, and I had no clue as to what or why it was happening. I just let it run it's course, without going to the Dr. the first time around, then the second time, it was going down by the time the Dr worked me in. I really have no clue, but it was really strange…… I did notice that I had a scrape on the inside of my ear canal both times. I would state that it had something to do with that. BTW, it was my left ear both times also!
