I am 26 years old. I am 5'8 304 pounds. I’ve popletations and some chest pains here and there. Would i even qualify for it if my blood pressure is to high? Or would they ensure my pressure is down before doing so?
Answer:
You really need to speak to your PCP to get the okay and I was set for the gastric bypass but was not clear by my cardiologist so I settled for the Lap Band. I had high blood pressure but it was controlled. You’ve to do a lot of pre testing before anyone can give you an okay. There’s all types of test that you’ve to go thru to see if you’re medically fit for the surgery. It is not something that one doctor state so it is done. I had Lap Band in April and I’m doing great with that procedure but everyone's cases are different just like the people that have gastric bypass. Good Luck on your endeavor..
Answer:
gastric bypass surgery is NOT a cure all. It's hard work, and you’ve to change your lifestyle, not to mention all the complications after the surgery. Be sure to ask the Dr. about the complications, and there are a lot! Hernia repair, suture site leakage, bowel obstruction from adhesion. If you think the gastric band is safer, think again! There are multiple re-admissions to the hosp because of band slippage and adhesion. THE SURGERY IS UNSAFE!!!!
Answer:
I'm not sure but I think you would have to lower your blood pressure. I do know though that you have to go on a diet to shrink your liver for a week prier to surgery, something that caught my attention. You should schedule an appointment with a doctor to give you the ok or not. I was thinking about doing this operation but now I'm more interested in the lap band.
Answer:
No, all you need is self-control, but you’re a liberal who thinks everyone else should solve the problems you have caused for yourself.
