Yes once it gets to 5.0 cm it is time to operate on it. Thats the figure for an ascending aortic aneurysm and thats when mine was operated on. Other aneurysms in other areas of the aorta are operated on at different measurements and are usually allowed to get bigger than 5.0 cm before they operate….
