great the first two weeks - but then POW! pleurisy, shingles, now mono. can this come from the new heart???? or, is it the drugs? very nausious from medications, losing weight, can't eat. personally know two other people with heart transplants who had awful first year but doing very well now. any hope for this friend seeing better days ahead? thank you very much!
Answer:
People tend to start taking near miraculous medical procedures for granted and forget that having your chest cut open, heart cut out, foreign heart sewn in, pacemaker implanted, and significant drugs begun means you’re going to be real sick for a while. There is a lot to manage medically, but it's all manageable.
Answer:
yea, they are excellent indicators of drugs adverse reaction. the hope therein lies in conservative management with the consent of the physician to withdraw some drugs and adjust diets to have more therapeutic values. such conservative guide on heart disease, stopping it, reversing heart disease condition as confessed by a heart surgeon is on http://knockoutheartdisease.com
Answer:
The problem is with the drugs you have to take to prevent rejection of the new heart. These work by suppressing the responses of your immune system, but unfortunately the immune system then is unable to respond vigorously to otherwise trivial infections. You’ll have to work your way through this, I'm afraid, but don't think that stopping the drugs is a good idea: rejecting the heart is an ultimate disaster.
Answer:
sorry can't help.but just wish you well, its a massive thing having that operation, hopefully you’ll soon be back on track,
