My husband had a heart attack and is only 34, he’d a blockage of one artery (oddly and thankfully the other 3 are excellent) he’d a one stent put in and he is also on coumadin (warfarin) because he developed a blood clot in his iv site (he has cyclic neutrapenia) something we also just found out, but as a kid he had a rare form of itp that effected red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. They removed his spleen because they could only guess that would clear up the problem so the Dr believes the Neutropenia is a hold over from that. My question is if anyone has any suggestions because they’ve any of these problems or they know someone who does that would be great. Also as well because of his coumadin he cant eat much Vitamin K does anyone have any suggestions on veggies I have the ability to fix for him? Thanks!!! He is not really overweight but he is still on a low sodium low fat diet.

I recommend you get and read a book by Louis Ignarro (nobel prize winner in medicine) titled “NO More Heart Disease”. It's a real eye opener on the subject of heart disease and what you can do about it, things no cardiologist will tell you, because when they lose a patient, they lose money. I had a heart attack four years ago, I read it, I followed it's dictates for three years, and I now have no artery disease, in fact they had to remove my stent because it was bouncing around inside my perfectly healthy artery.

You can go out and purchase lots of cookbooks that can help with the challenge of preparing new low soduim meals that are tasty.
I, like your husband, found out at 34 that my blood pressure was 130/110 and they thought that I was having a heart attack or had one already by the time I got to the physician. The best thing that you can do for your husband is be supportive, make sure he takes his medication and gets his exercise in (of course with his lower sodium diet).
