i would like to know what can i expect from this physical. i have type2 diabetes, high blood pressure and neuropathy in my hands as a result of the diabetes. what will they test for? how long.

Answer:
You'll get a full physical along with having any testing the doctor feels is needed to help determine if you”re disabled and if so, then how much. It helps if you take any and all medical and test results pertaining to your health with you. As these doctors are hired by the say remember this while there and don't volunteer anything unless you think it helps your case. Unless these disabilities prevent you from working on a daily basis, even if it isn't in your field then expect to be turned down. The medical problems that you’ve alone unless to an extreme I really don't think will be approved but that's my thought. High blood pressure can be controlled by medication and so can diabetes. So it hinges on how bad the neuropathy is. The only true way to find this out is by an ultrasound as it shows the nerves and how bad they're blocked. Even so, it's very rare for people to get approved on the first try. Always appeal if you get turned down and get an attorney that specializes in disability law. They don't get paid unless you're approved so you have nothing to lose. Good luck and I hope you win your case. It usually takes about 3 months but even if you're turned down the first time and win on appeal, you'll get paid from the date you first applied.Again, good luck.
