Answer:
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF),is due to the weakening of the heart muscle. This decreases the efficiency of the heart to circulate the blood normally. Depending on which side of the heart that is affected, you will see swelling in legs, arms, around the waist, and/or will have increase in shortness of breath, due to the accumulation of fluid also in your lungs.
Answer:
Congestive heart failure, means exactly what it says. Your heart will fail to work properly, it would enlarge, fail to pump blood efficiently and eventually stop working. This would occur over several years.
symptoms would include tiredness and breathlessness.
I had a severly leaking mitral heart valve, which I had surgery to mend 12 months ago.
I was told that without the operation my heart would eventually fail, but I wouldnt have a heart attack, as this is a completely different problem.
(usually a blockage).
I’m now back to normal and back in work, and my heart is as good as it was before.
