Anyone have any advice or tips for a good recovery for an adult getting their tonsils removed?
Answer:
I had mine removed when i was 25. Its not easy! Ideal advice, keep your throat wet as possible. Have a glass of water by your bed and have a swallow everytime you wake up. Also the mornings will be the worst times because your throat seems to tighten at night. Talking and swallowing both help loose it up. Don't try to eat mashed potatoes! Feels like your swallowing sand paper. Tapioca pudding felt good to eat. And if things just don't feel right, go see your physician. I was in a lot of pain and everyone kept saying it was normal but I actually had an infection. Good luck!
