I’ve had a cough for the past week now. It is a productive cough, and I have lots of chest pain when I cough. Since Monday, I’ve had a fever, the highest it has reached has been 103.1. Now it is at around 102.4. I have also been extremely tired, I’ve had a terrible headache, I have been really chilled, and a little nauseous. I thought I caught it from my daughter because she stayed home from preschool last Thursday and Friday with a sore throat and runny nose, but she’s fine now and I still feel really sick. Does this sound like the flu or is it just a bad cold?

Answer:
It sounds like it could be influenza, or possibly a chest infection. Have you been coughing up phlegm? Either way, see your doctor as soon as possible.
If you can't, rest, take Vitamin C, keep up your fluids and do or watch something that makes you smile. Don’t use something to cease your runny nose if you can help it, just get lots of tissues. Fevers and runny noses means your body is already trying to repair itself. Help it, don't stop it.
Just again, SEE YOUR DOCTOR
I cannot stress how helpful that would be.
