The Registered Nurse program is 2 years. But most programs have pre-requisites so it might take you longer.

The college I went to required Chemistry, English and 2 units of PE (because I was under the age of 20) as a pre-requisite before enrolling in the nursing program.

So right after High School, I went to Summer School and took English and PE. Then the next semester I took Chemistry and another PE class….then applied to the nursing program.

All nursing programs also require that you take Anatomy before second semester nursing. Physiology before third semester and Microbiology before fourth semester.

So that means that if you fail any of your science classes, you may not be able to continue in the nursing program.

If you take some or all of your science classes before you apply to the nursing program, you'll have a superior chance of getting accepted.

(You also need Psychology, Sociology and a Speech class but those can be taken at any time).

wow you're asking that on yahoo?? Lol..not all answers might turn up to be accurate you know? Try searching on google and see how long it takes..It took my dad 10 years of waiting to get his lawyer license. It shouldnt' take too long to become a nurse, unless you want to become a physician

Answer:
1 year for your LPN, 2 years for associates RN, 3 years for BSN, 4 years for your MSN… right about, not counting pre-reqs.
