hi
im a nurse and that’s definitely impetigo. you need to get cream and antibiotics from the physician. dont share towels or bedding with anyone else because its highly contagious. You shouldnt go to school/work either until its cleared up a bit because you can have the infection on your hands which you will pass on to other people.
you catch it from being run down usually
Answer:
Congratulations posting a picture of a skin condition is very helpful. You are correct this is almost certainly impetigo, you need an oral and a topical antibiotic, go see your GP tomorrow before it spreads further. It is also very infectious and you you mast use different towels and flannels from the rest of the family and hand wash very frequently.
Answer:
Well i've had both impetigo and ringworm before, this definately looks like impetigo. It's scabby and doesn't have a repiticious form.
But the good news is that impetigo is very easily treated, but do yourself a favor and stay home because it is very contagious until you get the meds for it. Other than that, you should be just fine, go visit your doc, and get superior!
Answer:
no you don't need to go to the physician because impetigo is harmless. but go to the doctor if you want to learn more about the disease and new ways to treat it. remember not to touch it then touch other parts of your face because it spreads. My bf gets it when he has a cold. it usually clears up in less than a week.
Answer:
Definately impetigo. Physicians for an antibiotic cream. Don’t pick that, you'll spread it else where, its highly contagious. Dont share towels or anything.
