Ok so I am doing homework for a sanitation class and the first question I had was what is hepatitis A and I answered it. (it is an infection of the liver) and now question number 3 asks…What type of illness does hepatitis A cause? Anybody know the answer or is it the same answer as number 1? I'm confused. Can someone help?

Answer:
Hepatitis A does not have a chronic stage and does not cause permanent liver damage. Following infection, the immune system makes antibodies against the hepatitis A virus that confer immunity against future infection. The disease can be prevented by vaccination and hepatitis A vaccine has been proved effective in controlling outbreaks worldwide.

But yes, it does seem the same as question one, just worded differently.

Answer:
Hepatitis A causes liver disease. Its symptoms include jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, and fever. Good hygine can prevent this.

Hope this helped!
