Every time I wake up in the morning my throat hurts and the only way to make it stop is to spit up this slimy glob of spit…~ewww~…Is my throat infected?

i have the same problem if the glob is clear no infection just allergies
but if its like greenish or yellowish then you’re sick but it will pass
there is no telling when it will go away though evryones immune system is different
mine usually hurts for about three or four days
