another question: i tend to be less able to breathe at night and when i sleep. I'm not overweight, i exercise, and i eat lots of veggies. I"m just wondering why i have these symptoms, thanks!

Answer:
I really don't believe that eating lots of salad is causing your shortness of breath. It's actually a good habit to have as far as your shortness of breath goes you could probably suffer from a nerve problem or possibly sleep apnea, as some of the others have said. I actually suffer from mild sleep apnea and I have asthma. shortness of breath can be caused by a number of things such as high levels of caffeine, stress and nerve problems. Even anxiety can also play a part. Best bet is to schedule to see you physician and tell him or her what your concerns are just to rule out possibility of any type of breathing problems you don't have to be over weight to have them. Smoking can also play a part in your shortness of breath as well if you are a smoker. So get checked out by a physician and good luck in your health.

Answer:
maybe if you're allergic to something in the salad.

Answer:
salad itself doesn't cause shortness of breath. You may be allergic to something in the salad - like other veggies.

Answer:
Is this actually DURING sleeping? It could be sleep apnea.

Answer:
No, veggies should never cause health problems :) It's good to notice you have more trouble breathing under certain conditions. You really should see a doctor about that. Shortness of breath or any difficulty is not normal.
