I have been to the physician and they told me i had walking pneumonia and bronchitis, i am used to bronchitis i get it several times a year due to my allergies, but this time i waited too long to get to the doc and it developed into pneumonia, but to get to the point, i have been coughing sooo much that my muscles hurt too bad to cough anymore, my lungs have fluid in them and i cant cough it up will the pneumonia get worse even though i am on antibiotics and hydrocodone?
Answer:
The cough is suppressed by the hydrocodone. You'll need to loosen it up another way like with an expectorant . Mucinex is good just not the DM along with the hydrocodone. Take nice long hot steamy showers and breathe in the steam. Drink plenty of water and I mean Plenty.Rest, take your meds as prescribed especially the antibiotic for the whole course and hopefully you'll feel better soon.
God bless.
Answer:
Never put Vicks under your nose. Danger of chemical pneumonia. Report Abuse

I had the same thing last year and believe I now the pain you are going through. You hurt so much because it uses all of your muscles in your back and sides to help you cough. I found that by taking a really hot shower or bath it soothes the muscles. Also I would use those tablets that fizz in the shower and release vapors while you shower. That made me relax at night so I could sleep better. If it continues any longer I would call the physician back, because you do not want to fool around with this too long it can least to other problems as well. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that you’re sick. I have been there a few times and it is not fun at all. I have a few suggestions for you. try drinking some Hot Tea with Lemon and Honey in it or try to drink some Cinnamon tea, also try propping yourself up instead of lying down. You might try rubbing some Vick's Vaper cream on your chest, under your nose and on the bottom of your feet but you need to put socks on. Hope these hints help you out
