I've smoked twice once in January but it was only one puff and i didnt actully inhale and 3 puffs yesturday and i only inhaled once. I don't plan on smoking again but anyhow my mom taking me to the doctor tomarrow b/c she thinks i have broncitous, i cant stop coughing ect. Will the physician be able to tell i smoked twice or tell my mother so?

Answer:
No, but you need to halt now, before your addicted to the nicotine. If you're already having breathing problems it will make it twice as bad. There's really no other feeling in the world like not being able to breathe. If you've ever seen anyone during an asthma attack that's exactly what it's like. Don't forget that your mom is only doing what’s ideal for you. There are so many kids this day who's parents have to work and they're really too busy to even know that there child is having a problem. Be happy and don't smoke. I smoked for 25 years and now I have to be on oxygen 24/7. I can't go on vacation or anywhere outside of 6 hours because that's all my portable oxygen unit holds. It's no fun.

Answer:
With that tiny bit you smoked and haven't smoked since, you'll be safe from being found out. You'd have just as much if not more damage done by being in a closed area with other smokers.

Depending on your age, your mother might be asked to go in with you but it's up to you whether you tell him or not that you only had three puffs and won't be trying it again.

Chances are you've just picked up a bad cough or bronchitis.

It's good to hear that you won't try it again though.

Answer:
If you didn't inhale, then you really didn't smoke.
If you tell the Dr. not to state anything to your mom, then they have to honor that. Dr.-patient confidentiality. That means anything you tell the Dr. stays between you and the Dr. The Dr. can be fired and/or sued if they revealed your medical history to anyone else without your permission.

Answer:
The symptoms you are describing are classic bronchitis.
As long as you don't smell like smoke and have really only smoked twice, your doctor wont be able to tell… unless of course you give it away with how you act.

Most likely case scenario, your physician and mother think you have the cold and suggest fluids and washing your hands.

Hang in there,
Jake

Answer:
He will certainly ask if you smoke. He won't tell your mom because of the privacy between the patient and the physician.

Answer:
probably not…but smoking even once can increase your risks for diseases, and shorten your life, never mind lead u down the road of addiction…u're probably safe..i just would refrain from future smoking

Answer:
NO
