Nausea from antibiotics?

Author: admin

I am on them for Bronchitis and they’re making me incredibly nauseaous. This is the second day I have been taking them, and yes, I did take them with food. Will it go away? Or will it happen again tomorrow? I am emetophobic, and really can’t stand being nauseous at all. It makes me incredibly anxious.

Answer:
There is bacteria in your stomach that helps you digest your food. They're good bacteria called “pro biotics.” Anti-biotics kill these bacteria often causing a stomach ache. My mother had H Pylori which is a bacteria in the stomach that 4 out of 5 people have and it can cause ulcers. She had to take a lot of anti biotic because of it (i consider 4) and the doctor advised that she take a pro biotic vitamin. You can also find some pro biotic in yogurt and stuff like that. I would speak to your physician though before trying this, just to make sure. Good Luck! :D

Answer:
Try taking Gravol. it works in about the first or second dose and you probably wont need any again. The nausea is probably caused by the antibiotic. talk to your docotr and see if you can take Gravol. Pepto Bismal works also, but it doesn' tspecifically target the nausea.
get well soon:)

Answer:
I am emetophobic as well, when i take my antibiotics,i also take a chewable cherry flavored pepto bismol tablet,it helps. If you want to ask your doctor for something to relieve it,he might suggest compazine, that stuff works good if the pepto does not work for you.
