A week ago I was prescribed Macrobid, the generic brand, for a Bladder Infection….I’ve taken 9 pills so far and I feel awful! The first day of taking Macrobid I started having sharp chest pains and I was told to continue it well I wish I wouldnt have! Now it's shortness of breath, chest tightnesss, and anxiety issues!
I did read reviews on this medicine and they documented a lot of the same effects as I am having…
Questions is how can I get rid of these feelings.. I was prescribed it for 7 days..I can’t take anymore..no way…is there a home remedy out there for bladder infections just in case it would come back?
Thank You!

Here's the information on Macrobid:

You said it was prescribed for you a week ago and it was prescribed for 7 days, so you should be just about done taking it, right? The symptoms that you're experiencing are common side effects and it's quite unpleasant. Generally you shouldn't stop an antibiotic before it's done. I'm surprised your physician didn't prescribe you Levaquin instead (unless you're allergic or your infection was really bad). Make sure you drink plenty of water and have at least 1-2 cranberry juices a day. If you don't like cranberry juice you can get cranberry tablets at just about any pharmacy and work pretty much as good. I know AZO makes a UTI/cranberry tablet, however it could take longer to get rid of your bladder infection. Also generally bladder infections stem from UTI's that were left untreated too long.
