This makes me sad, I hate being sick
Yesterday, I was fine, I had a tiny itch in the back of my throat, so I gargled salt water.
This morning I'm achy, my nose is a tad runny, I’ve a really bad cough, and my chest burns like crazy when I cough a lot. Nearly like stomach acid burn (I doubt it's that though.)
Any remedies?
Answer:
Ok, you don't state where the burning is. Does it burn all over your chest in which case it's probably the intersotal muscles being strained. If it's localized to the center of your chest but to the left or right of the bottom of sternum it probably is acid reflux. Now if it's further up your sternum and your voice is beginning to be hoarse it's the inflammation moving down into your lungs. Sore throat's next if not already there.Best thing is take aspirin for the pain, rest, find a good cough suppressant like Robitussin DM or Mucinex DM, or Triaminic syrup, rest, have some chicken soup, rest. And did i state rest? That’s the ideal way to help your body cope with this. Let the immune system do what it does best without “distractions”.
God bless and help you feel superior.
