My lips are wind burnt from running outdoors. I used blistex (flavored) and now they just hurt and are chapped above the upper lip! help!
Answer:
I love Chapstick overnight relief in the purple container, it is awesome! I don't use it just overnight, I use it alllll day. Love it! Actually, I need to get some more, I just ran out and had to purchase Burts Bees instead, because they didn't have my stuff. Definitely not effective like my Chapstick!
Answer:
Carmex Lip Balm (yellow and red label) works wonders!Day and night.
You'll notice results within the first day. Also (in the vitamin isle) Vitamin E Stick, looks like clear lipstick. Myself and my daughter have very dry, chapped lips especially in the winter.
Also, to get the flaky skin off first, lightly use a gritty exfoliater like St. Ives Apricot Scrub (I stress lightly or it will buff off the healthy skin too and leave your lips raw).
You will notice a difference immediately and have the softest, healthy lips in just a few days. Hope this helps.
Answer:
Vaseline is the worst thing you can use for your skin. It's petroleum and not healthy (contrary to what everyone thinks)
Try pure vitamin e (break open a capsule) at bed time.
Neosporin now makes a healing lip treatment.
Drink more water.
