How to get rid of poison ivy?

I’ve gotten poson ivy before and sumtimes ignore it and its gone. Sumtimes i use this clear gel i got from the drug store and its great with the itching. i go to bumps filled with clear liquid on my left ankle and lower calf. I poped it one day but the next they were back with much bigger!!!! they just keep getting larger. how can i get rid of the poison ivy???? thx

Don't pop the bumps! It will spread! You need to dry the poison ivy out. Over the counter stuff that you get at the drug store will work to help stop itching and it will also dry it out. You can do what I did and get Caladryl and Calamine Lotion. They do work, but you can also try using a cornstarch and water mixture to help dry it up. Topical alcohol will burn, but it will also dry out the blisters. Do NOT do what my husband did to dry his out, he couldn't get his to go away, he used bleach! It did work, but he said it burned like fire.
