is it possible to contract HIV n AIDS without contracting an STI first? i have been wondering if all people who are HIV positive contracted(those who got infected sexually) STI's first, pliz help

Answer:
HIV is the virus that damages the immune system and can lead to AIDS. HIV is a sexually transmitted infection, and it can also be transmitted through sharing needles for drug use, or it can be transmitted from a woman to her child during delivery or breastfeeding. You do not have to have another sexually transmitted infection first before getting infected with HIV. However, having any other sexually transmitted infection makes your body more vulnerable to HIV infection.

All of that stated, you can not get HIV from someone who does not have HIV. You can not get any sexually transmitted infection from someone who does not have a sexually transmitted infection. The problem is that most people don’t have symptoms soon after infection, so you can not tell if someone has HIV or another sexually transmitted infection just by looking at them. The only way to find out if you have HIV or another sexually transmitted infection is to get tested.

Answer:
HIV/AIDS is an STI. It belongs to the viral family of STI's, along with Hepatitis, Herpes, and HPV.

So, if you contract HIV, you have contracted an STI. “STI” symbolizes Sexually Transmitted Infection. HIV is a sexually transmitted infection.

Answer:
STI is Sexually Transmitted Infection –please understand the HIV is a STI— —and also the infected blood transfusions also spread the disease —where all accidental contact of infected blood there all some chances of infection present –so your STI is imaginary you think
